StringArt3D

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StringArt3D ("the Service"), including as an anonymous user without creating an account or signing in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StringArt3D is a free, browser-based tool that converts uploaded photos or entered text into string art patterns and generates G-code files for 3D printing. Some optional features are available through a one-time lifetime Premium license purchase.

The generation workflow runs locally in your browser. Uploaded images and entered generation text are not transmitted to StringArt3D servers and are not stored on StringArt3D servers as part of the generation process.

3. Premium Unlock Purchases

If you buy Premium, you are purchasing a one-time lifetime license for the premium features described on the site at the time of purchase, currently including additional shapes, larger print sizes, text-mode export, future premium features, and commercial-use rights for output you create with StringArt3D. Premium is tied to your StringArt3D account after payment is confirmed.

Premium is not a recurring subscription, not an annual plan, and does not auto-renew. It is a single payment for a lifetime license to the current premium features and future premium features.

Premium also includes the commercial-use license for output you create with the Service. For these Terms, commercial use means selling, offering for sale, using in paid client work, using in a business, or otherwise commercially exploiting string art patterns, generated files, physical prints, or other output created with the Service. The free license is for personal, non-commercial use only.

StringArt3D depends in part on third-party printer hardware, firmware, slicers, vendor software, and related ecosystems that we do not control. Because of that, we do not guarantee perpetual compatibility with every future device, firmware version, slicer version, vendor platform, or operating environment.

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any images you upload or text you enter. You agree not to provide content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any generated output before use and for the safe operation of any 3D printer and the use of generated G-code files. You are also solely responsible for how you use, sell, display, distribute, or otherwise rely on any output created with the Service.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights you have in the images you upload and the text you enter, subject to any third-party rights that may apply. StringArt3D does not claim ownership of your source images, your source text, or the output you create with the Service.

If you use the free version of the Service, you may use, print, and display the string art patterns, generated files, physical prints, and other output you create for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

If you have an active Premium unlock on your StringArt3D account, then subject to these Terms, you may use, print, sell, offer for sale, and otherwise exploit for personal or commercial purposes the string art patterns, generated files, physical prints, and other output you create using the Service. You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use any uploaded images and for safely validating any generated output.

The Service itself, including its software, algorithms, interface design, branding, site content, and overall product experience, remains the property of the operator and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, republish, resell, sublicense, create derivative works of, or build or assist others in building a competing or substantially similar tool, service, or product based on the Service, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated G-code will be compatible with your specific printer or produce desired results. We also do not warrant ongoing compatibility with future third-party printer hardware, firmware, slicers, vendor software, or related ecosystems outside our control. We make no warranty regarding merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, safety, quality, or suitability of any output. You use the Service and any generated output entirely at your own risk and responsibility.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damage to your 3D printer, other equipment, wasted materials, failed prints, business interruption, lost profits, lost revenue, personal injury, property damage, third-party claims, or loss of data arising from or related to your use of the Service or any output.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability arising out of or relating to the Service, these Terms, and any output. If a court or other authority determines that a limitation of liability must apply despite the foregoing exclusion, then, to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your uploaded content, your use of the Service, your generated output, your sale or distribution of any output, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

9. Third-Party Services
